There Are Many Ways You Can Help!
- Report all sightings of bats in distress to the 24 hr Rescue Hotline (WILVOS), your local wildlife group, or the RSPCA.
- Support Bat Rescue Inc. financially by making a donation to assist with caring costs, or adopting a bat in care.
- Join us and become a Support Member or an Active Member to join our Carer and Rescue Teams.
- Report all wildlife electrocuted on powerlines (please note the nearest pole number/s), ask Energex (SE QLD) or your local electricity company to prune large flowering native trees growing near cables, support underground cabling and cable bundling.
- Reduce barbed wire fencing and use wildlife friendly fencing methods.
- Net fruit trees correctly or use alternative wildlife friendly crop protection methods.
- Plant flying-fox friendly native trees and shrubs in your garden.
- Remove cocos palms.
- Help monitor our flying-fox colonies (camps).
- Put a microbat nesting box up a tree to create an artificial home to replace valuable lost natural tree hollows.
